Valves Storage and Installation
Transportation, Packing & Storage:
- Avoid throwing or dropping the valve as it not designed to handle external impact.
- Do not scratch or force open any parts of the valve with sharp objects.
- Avoid contact with coal tar creosote, insecticides, vermicides or paint.
- Do not stack cartons above recommended stacking layers.
- Do not store packages or cartons under direct sunlight or above room temperatures.
- Always check for defects, smoothness of the handle operation and conformance to specifications before use.
General Operating Instructions:
- Only operate the valve within allowable pressure and temperature range.
- Do not change or replace valve parts under line pressure.
- Do not apply excessive weight on valve.
- Keep the valve away from excessive heat, direct sunlight or dust.
- Certain chemicals such as H2O2, NaCIO, etc. may be prone to vaporization which can cause irregular pressure increases, which may damage the valve.
- Avoid use with fluid containing slurry or fluid that has crystallized.
- Always perform leak tests under water pressure and conduct periodic inspection and maintenance on the valve.
- Allows select a suitable valve material that is compatible with the media.
